Establishing Your Service Area
In creating an account with Clutter, you establish the storing and delivery of your items to a distinct service area where are facilities are located. While we can deliver to a new location/address within that area, we cannot return items in one service area to another.
As an example, you are creating an account with an initial pickup location of Brooklyn, NY but need items returned to a new location in Manhattan. This is possible as you're still located in the same service area!
If you have an initial pickup on Brooklyn, NY and move to Chicago, IL this is not a possible return location. While we service Chicago, your items are in the deliverable area of Brooklyn.
Moving Out Of Your Service Area
If you will be moving out of your serviceable area, you will need to establish a Final Return of your items. These items can be delivered to a location in your service area.
If you have already moved outside of your service area, Clutter can aid with a return to a location within your service area to coordinate the return of your items. Common solutions include:
- return of items to a friend/family member's address in our service area
- truck-to-truck transfer of items with a moving company with whom you coordinate
- return of items to an alternative storage facility within the service area
Moving to a new city where Clutter is a storage option? You can create a new account for that service area to utilize our service once more! This will be a new account with new terms and storage plan. Different service areas have varying rates so your same space may have different pricing.
